OCTANE OBJECTIVES

  • To promote the advancement of science and technology in Oldham County and surrounding regions; to educate members and the public in the uses and improvement of advanced technology, processes, materials, and systems; to collect and disseminate information on services, markets and opportunities in the technology sectors; and to cooperate with and facilitate liaisons with other local and regional technology-based organizations, industry groups, and professional societies.

  • To educate our members and the community on the technology available for their use in their business and/or at home; to provide technical advice to members and to the community; to assist the community in improving productivity through the adoption and use of high tech solutions; and to make public service presentations to civic groups, local businesses and other organizations for the purpose of advancing the acceptance of technology in the region.

  • To provide an organized forum for technology-based businesses, service providers, educators, students, government, and the public at large with respect to the free and open exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience relating to the best modes and practices of using advanced technologies, including but not limited to, information technology, telecommunications, manufacturing technology, medical technology, biotechnology, including military, industrial and security applications.

  • To stimulate the education, founding, expansion and economic development of the community by utilizing advanced technology processes and systems, to encourage technology based industry in the Oldham County area and surrounding region, and to attract and retain a technically talented workforce; and to encourage and promote high standards of ethics, service, and competence among members and the community.

  • To exercise all powers possessed by nonprofit, nonstock corporations formed under the Kentucky Nonprofit Corporation Act that are not inconsistent with the Corporation’s qualifications under 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
